Morning Ocean Dip gang by Sean
Morning Ocean Dip gang by Sean
Also called the fck-it-let's-just-do-it gang, which takes an icy cold ocean dip e v e r y single morning, no matter the weather. According to Sean (a South African dude who used to spend his life in London) it's completely random how many people turn up each day .. sometimes with rain the most?? He'll be there anyway. Afterwards you can have easypeasy cheap coffee at the "yellow chair café" which is 10 sec from the ocean.
It's one of the very first gangs I've heard about and also one who is existing the longest (2021). Solid aye? If you're unsporty, well then this is your chance, cause everyone can dip, right? You just have to be brave enough to feel the cold. But that's what the influencers tell you anyway, aye, to have sunlight and a cold shower first thing in the morning. Here in Eri, you can live that flowy, integrated in the community instead of forcing yourself just by willpower. They even do special full moon ocean dips once per month, how romantic :)
The Morning Ocean Dip Gang is meeting at 8:30 am, Monday to Sunday, right here at Praia do Sul. - WhatsApp me to get added & also to other gangs in town 🎈

Who is behind this?
I'm Svenja and when people ask me why I am so obsessed with Ericeira, I say: because it's like being in a village but with city people. So many smart, experienced people around, who love nature, sports, and fancy cafés (sorry, I don't want to be a hipster, but yea).

You can find me playing padel & tennis, doing workouts and running, and in my heart I've been a dancer all my life. During the day, I'm doing marketing for 2 small Swiss teams: a medical software company⚕️ and a piano store 🎹

Why this site? Working in medical software companies is nice and useful. But I’ve been a manual therapist before and while it felt good to fix/care for a patient’s back pain, I always wanted to work on preventing medical issues. So my initial motivation for this site was to promote sports activities and healthy lunches.
